OffiAI changelog

What changed, newest first. OffiAI is in preview: it is a public beta, every build is on the GitHub release page, and things still change quickly.

— beta 76: approve permissions in the open desk and choose when managed updates run

macOS beta 76 (notarised DMG on the release page). Open desks now show permission requests with «Allow» and «Deny» in place. Managed agent updates wait for «Update available? Check now» and a separate «Update» click, keeping your working version available if a check or update fails. Startup failures offer recovery with «Retry» or «Quit», and explicit account-list repair preserves a copy before you choose an account. Reception explains unsupported versions, while Settings names the terminal-approval versions recorded so far. Newer connected-agent start versions remain unqualified. Nothing from beta 75 was removed.

— beta 75: device names and folder paths stay out of background audit messages

macOS beta 75 (notarised DMG on the release page). Device names and working-folder paths no longer appear in background audit messages for remote permission changes and missing-folder releases. OffiAI still records which device or desk acted and whether the action succeeded, without copying your labels or private text into these notices. Visible device names, permission confirmations and recovery records stay as they were. Nothing from beta 74 was removed.

— beta 74: closing agent setup or feedback brings you back to Settings

macOS beta 74 (notarised DMG on the release page). On the desktop, closing «Set up another agent…» with Escape or «×» now takes you back to «Settings», right where you were. Starting a task from that sheet still opens «Reception» on its own, and «Set up →» or the sheet’s «Settings» button returns you to «Agents». Closing feedback over «Settings» also brings you back to where you left off. Keyboard focus returns to the control you came from, and clicking outside a sheet leaves it open. Nothing from beta 73 was removed.

— beta 73: OffiAI can install Claude Code for you, your first task can work in a normal folder, and Conversation shows what you asked

macOS beta 73 (notarised DMG on the release page). If Claude Code is not on your Mac yet, the first-run setup offers to install it with one click: OffiAI downloads it from Anthropic, checks its size, checksum, signature and version before anything runs, and keeps it inside OffiAI, with no Terminal needed. A Claude Code you already have is still used first. OffiAI then opens your browser so you can sign in with your own Claude account, and every step keeps a Terminal fallback. Your first task can work in Documents, Desktop, a folder you choose or a new empty folder, on documents, files or a simple website, without changing the office's default folder. Conversation now shows what you asked, starting with the New task brief and its attachments, and finds it again in the agent's own history after you reopen the desk or relaunch OffiAI, with secrets kept masked; OffiAI stores no copy. When the original message cannot be found, the message size line remains, and the note that a turn is running now sits under the message box. Nothing from beta 72 was removed.

— beta 72: the classic switch keeps its place, your phone keeps the new interface, and pasted screenshots all stay

macOS beta 72 (notarised DMG on the release page). When you turn Use the classic interface on or off in Settings › General, the switch keeps the keyboard focus and stays where you were in the panel, and the new interface's Settings comes back on General instead of Agents. Your phone always shows the new interface, which is designed for small screens, while your Mac and your paired remote office on a computer still follow your classic or new choice. Several screenshots pasted at the same moment now each keep their own attachment, up to the 5-file limit, and a paste past the limit says so and keeps the files already attached. Nothing from beta 71 was removed.

— beta 71: desks say what they are doing, and Stop shows only while work runs

macOS beta 71 (notarised DMG on the release page). A working desk now shows one live line in Conversation saying what it is doing, such as Thinking…, Using Bash or Waiting for a background task, and the answer replaces it when the turn ends. Stop and Waiting for the answer appear only while work really runs, so an idle desk no longer shows Stop or flashing dots, and an idle Codex or Gemini desk keeps Release idle desk. A turn that stops showing activity no longer animates forever: it settles within a few minutes, or says Stopped responding with a way to retry or stop it, and a restart brings back no phantom working turn. A follow-up message either reaches the conversation or explains beside Send why it could not, and your draft is kept. In Settings › General, Use the classic interface no longer flips back when desks are busy while you click it. Nothing from beta 70 was removed.

— beta 70: closing feedback leaves the office usable, and a full office says so beside Start

macOS beta 70 (notarised DMG on the release page). Closing the feedback sheet and then Settings now leaves the office usable: it answers clicks and the Tab key again. Settings keeps its shape behind the feedback sheet, and closing feedback returns you to the control you used. Settings › Agents › Set up another agent… checks current readiness each time it opens. When every desk is busy, the message that all desks are occupied now appears beside Start and scrolls into view, and the task you typed stays in the brief. Nothing from beta 69 was removed.

— beta 69: screenshots pasted in the same second both stay, and clearer feedback reports

macOS beta 69 (notarised DMG on the release page). Two screenshots pasted in the same second now both stay in the draft, as Pasted image 10.15.07.png and Pasted image 10.15.07 2.png; before, the first one could be dropped without a message. Feedback reports now show each desk's state the way the office shows it, such as Ready for review. Recent actions in a feedback report name the field or button by the app's own marker, never what was typed, a task title, a file name or link text. Nothing from beta 68 was removed.

— beta 68: the publish queue always keeps its newest failed requests

macOS beta 68 (notarised DMG on the release page). When many publish attempts fail in a row, OffiAI now always keeps the most recent failed requests for inspection. Before, on disks whose file times are too coarse to tell fast failures apart, such a run could keep an older failed request and drop a newer one. Retry timing, how many failed requests are kept, how long they are kept and their file names are unchanged. Nothing from beta 67 was removed.

— beta 67: the new interface on by default, with a switch back to classic in Settings

macOS beta 67 (notarised DMG on the release page). The new interface is now on for everyone: fresh installations start in it, and existing installations move to it once when they update, including those where the old «Use the new interface» switch was off, with every other preference kept. To go back, turn on «Use the classic interface» in Settings › General; the choice stays saved across restarts and changes to other settings, and turning it off brings the new interface back. In Spanish the switch reads «Usar la interfaz clásica», in German «Klassische Oberfläche verwenden». Your paired remote office and phone now follow the interface chosen on the office Mac, classic included, when it changes and when they reconnect; the phone keeps its own appearance setting. Read-only visits to another office look as before. Nothing from beta 66 was removed.

— beta 66: bypass choices that save from a paired device, and an Escape that cancels only the question

macOS beta 66 (notarised DMG on the release page). On a paired computer or phone, choosing «Skip all» for Claude Code or «Full bypass» for Codex as the office default in Settings and confirming the question now saves it; until now the change ended in «Change was not saved: Preferences could not be saved.» Choosing a less permissive mode still saves without a question, and a dangerous default that was not confirmed is still refused. Escape now cancels only the question: Reception and Settings stay open with your brief intact, Reception goes back to the previous choice, including Inherit, Settings keeps the saved default, and focus returns to the control you used. While the question is open, «Start at a desk» and «Add to the line» stay disabled, so nothing starts or joins the line until you answer. This works in the remote office on a computer and on a phone, in English, Spanish and German, in light and dark. The owner’s own controls on the office Mac work as before. Nothing from beta 65 was removed.

— beta 65: feedback that carries recent actions, the app log and app state, with a preview of what is sent

macOS beta 65 (notarised DMG on the release page). Send feedback now adds the recent actions in that window, the app log from this launch and a snapshot of the app’s state to the screenshots and your note. Under the note, the sheet says «Includes recent actions, the app log and app state (no typed text, no secrets).», and «Show what's sent» opens a preview of exactly that before you press «Send», for both «Problem» and «Idea». Typing is recorded only as a character count, password and secret fields are left out entirely, and secrets and home-folder paths are masked. A report from a remote office window carries that window’s own actions with the office’s current state, and if the diagnostics are slow or unavailable the sheet still opens and the report is still saved, marked as unavailable. Reports stay on your computer or use the existing upload to the office owner; nothing is sent anywhere new. Nothing from beta 64 was removed.

— beta 64: pasted screenshots with their own names, desk files in Changes without git and a feedback confirmation you can read

macOS beta 64 (notarised DMG on the release page). A screenshot pasted into a new task or a desk reply is now named after the time you pasted it, «Pasted image HH.MM.SS», instead of the browser’s generic «image.png», and two pastes in the same message never share a name; files that already have a real name keep it. Files a Claude desk creates, changes or deletes in its own task folder now show in Changes as recorded edits, with green added lines and red removed lines, even when the folder is not a git repository, and a new file shows only its added lines. With «Publish to the office» off, the desk is now told that the setting is off: it saves the deliverable in its working folder and ends its answer with «Not in Reports: publishing is off», instead of looking for a missing tool. After you press «Send» on feedback over Settings or Library, the confirmation now stays readable above them for six seconds or until you close it. Nothing from beta 63 was removed.

— beta 63: feedback that keeps Settings open, a phone task list that answers taps and a smoother office while desks work

macOS beta 63 (notarised DMG on the release page). Sending feedback about part of Settings with «Send feedback about this area…» now keeps Settings open behind the feedback sheet, also while you type a note or press «Cancel», and Cancel or Escape returns the keyboard to the Settings control you were on, or to the current Settings section. On the phone, the task list sits above the office’s desk labels, so «Expand task list» and «Show office» respond to taps after you open a task and close Talk. The office stays responsive while a robot walks to its desk and works there, because desk cards and labels are only redrawn when something they show has changed. Every build is now also checked as a whole window in light and dark, and with a real remote office sending feedback to its host, so invisible sheets, missing office styling and broken remote feedback are caught before they reach a beta. Nothing from beta 62 was removed.

— beta 62: a short dated Overview, office cards that leave room tools free and a guided first task

macOS beta 62 (notarised DMG on the release page). A desk's Overview now shows what the agent is doing right now and how long the turn has been running, and its newest reply as a short «Latest update» with the time it arrived, at most about three lines and taken from the reply itself. A new turn never presents an older answer as current, and a turn that ends without a final answer says so. «Full answer →» opens Conversation at that exact reply, and Conversation opens at the newest message unless you scrolled up to read, with «Newest ↓» to jump back; the remote office and phone show the same. In the new interface, desk cards sit at the front of their desks without covering room tools, tool names stay on one line as the window narrows, an untitled Cowork desk is called Claude Cowork, and closing a panel returns the keyboard to the control that opened it. The welcome card calls Claude Code or Codex ready only when it is installed, signed in and able to start, otherwise shows the one Terminal command to run next, and opens your first task with a folder and three starter ideas; Start then shows which desk is working. Nothing from beta 61 was removed.

— beta 61: paste images into tasks and find requested reports in Reports

macOS beta 61 (notarised DMG on the release page). Copy a screenshot or an image and paste it into New task or a desk's Talk box: it becomes a normal removable attachment, any text you pasted with it is kept, and the usual attachment limits apply. Dropping an image onto the text box works too. A report, plan or summary you ask a Claude or Codex desk for now lands in Reports, also when you ask from the remote office, and email is only ever extra. When «Publish to the office» is off, Reports and the desk say so and point to Settings › Agents, where the switch now lives; it stays off by default. In the new interface the Changes reader shows added lines in green and removed lines in red in both themes, and feedback can be typed and sent above open side panels and popups. Nothing from beta 60 was removed.

— beta 60: answer Codex command prompts from the app

macOS beta 60 (notarised DMG on the release page). When a Codex task started in the app asks to run a command, the owner can answer on the desk, in Overview, from the remote office or on the phone. The three choices match Codex: «Yes, proceed», «Yes, and don't ask again» for that command prefix, and «No, tell Codex what to do differently», which pauses the turn and keeps your draft. Visitors see «Waiting for approval» without actions. Sign-in and folder-trust prompts still need Terminal, and remote devices still cannot choose «Skip all». Nothing from beta 59 was removed.

— beta 59: remote permission choices and phone companion groundwork

macOS beta 59 (notarised DMG on the release page). Paired owner devices can choose «Skip all» or «Full bypass» for a task or the office default after an explicit confirmation. «Keep asking» cancels the choice. Native phone companions add QR connection, saved offices, file saving and a «Demo office»; device checks and store uploads are still pending. Nothing from beta 58 was removed.

— beta 58: readable tools and task cards

macOS beta 58 (notarised DMG on the release page). With the new interface on, room tools have readable names and task desks show a title, provider dot and status such as «Needs you» or «Ready for review». Free desks and Reception offer «New task», and a bottom-centre pill keeps queued work visible. Remote offices keep the OffiAI brand, with connection details in the office menu and compact usage summaries when enabled. Nothing from beta 57 was removed.

— beta 57: visitor updates and completed replies

macOS beta 57 (notarised DMG on the release page). Visitor desk changes can appear during the first scene load even when animation frames stall. Completed replies that mention “loading” or quote “1. Update now” no longer leave the desk stuck at «Working» with «Stop» and «Waiting for the answer». Genuine startup and update screens still prevent the desk from being treated as ready. Nothing from beta 56 was removed.

— beta 56: copy buttons and visitor desks

macOS beta 56 (notarised DMG on the release page). Invitations and Reception folder paths copy through the installed app’s native clipboard. Visitors see the read-only office, including busy background desks, instead of a header-only page. Feedback over Settings now waits for the screenshot to decode and shows «Screenshot preview unavailable.» if capture or decoding fails; the original blank-preview symptom still needs a packaged-app hand check. An empty or whitespace-only pairing code keeps «Connect» in the form, focuses the code field and shows «Enter the pairing code.» without contacting the office. Nothing from beta 55 was removed.

— beta 55: permission guidance and clearer desk controls

macOS beta 55 (notarised DMG on the release page). When macOS denies a tool access to a protected path, the desk names the path and permission, with «Open System Settings» and «Retry» on Mac. Remote and phone users see instructions for someone at the Mac. A network tool with no progress for 30 seconds shows a waiting message without treating the delay as a permission denial. Settings › «Permissions» checks network drives, removable drives, Documents, Desktop, Downloads and Full Disk Access, with «Allowed», «Not allowed» or «Unknown», plus «Check again». «Allowed» means the directory check succeeded, not a guarantee of access everywhere. Desktop message boxes now show the active send shortcut without hovering: «Enter (Shift+Enter for a new line)» or «⌘ Enter (Enter for a new line)», following Settings › General › «Send messages with». Remote desktops follow the saved setting; non-Mac desktops show Ctrl. Reception and setup readiness invite you to describe the work without asking for a folder. Stopping a Codex session keeps its last completed answer visible on the ended desk. Relaunching the app restores that answer when its saved completion record and transcript still match, without restarting the session. An interrupted later turn is not marked complete; stopping before any completed answer can still leave the answer unavailable. Nothing from beta 54 was removed.

— beta 54: background work and visitor fixes

macOS beta 54 (notarised DMG on the release page). A Claude desk waiting for tracked background work now shows «Working · in background», with its latest answer still readable. Review waits for that work and any follow-up turn to finish; work launched outside the agent’s tracking is not covered. On Mac, «Open a remote office» → «Connect» opens a fresh window after the previous one was closed. «Send feedback about this area…» keeps Settings open underneath; «Cancel», Escape or a successful «Send» returns focus to the original control. «Copy invitation» now uses the Mac clipboard and confirms success only after copying; a failure says «Could not copy the invitation. Try again.» Reception’s «Copy folder path» also uses the Mac clipboard. Visitors see the read-only desk list inside the open visiting panel, with «Return to your office» still available. Ending or expiring a visit clears access even if the office is still loading or failed to open; visitors cannot reply or approve. A restored Claude desk marked «Delivered», whose session process has ended and which has no running child or terminal host, offers «Release idle desk» directly on «Overview», without first marking it Done. Release still requires confirmation and keeps the answer and conversation history. Nothing from beta 53 was removed.

— beta 53: desk release and failed starts

macOS beta 53 (notarised DMG on the release page). A Codex desk you marked Done now releases with one confirmed «Release idle desk» click, without pressing Stop first. On a desk that is still working or waiting, the confirmation offers «Stop and release»; the control shows «Releasing…» until the desk is free, and a failure says why. «Stop» on a live Codex desk now shows «Stop this session? Your files will be kept.» in view, in every task state and tab. A Problem desk whose session process and terminal host have both ended can be released directly, and «Recovery details» shows what was recorded or is not shown at all. If a Codex start fails, the task stays in Reception with its brief, folder and attachments, no other conversation is moved off its desk, and Reception names the failure, such as «Codex session records could not be read. Retry setup.», next to «Retry Codex setup». «Copy Terminal command» and «Open in Terminal» stay on Terminal desks started from Reception. A remote office window whose access was revoked, or that you closed yourself, no longer reopens at the next launch; an unreachable office still comes back. Nothing from beta 52 was removed.

— beta 52: send key and task folders

macOS beta 52 (notarised DMG on the release page). Enter now sends in every message box on the desktop: desk Talk, the robot, Library, Reception, tasks and presentations. Shift+Enter or Option+Enter makes a new line, and ⌘ Enter still sends. To keep Enter for new lines, choose «⌘ Enter (Enter for a new line)» in «Settings» › «General» › «Send messages with»; open message boxes follow at once and show the shortcut. On the phone Enter stays a new line and Send sends, and feedback notes stay multiline. New tasks no longer open a folder chooser: set a «Default task folder» in «Settings» › «Office», or each task gets its own private temporary folder on the office Mac. Reception shows the folder with «Change…» and «Copy folder path»; choosing another folder for one task never changes the default. If the saved folder is unavailable, the draft is kept and you can choose another or «Use temporary folder». The optional «Choose a folder on Mac» chooser now fits the screen on desktop and phone, with «Choose this folder» and «Cancel» in reach. Nothing from beta 51 was removed.

— beta 51: visits, permissions and feedback

macOS beta 51 (notarised DMG on the release page). Colleagues can accept an invitation on the same LAN or VPN and visit your office read-only. «Other offices» lists saved offices, and «Return to your office» takes visitors back; conversations are visible only when shared by the host. Choose the office permission mode in «Settings» › «Agents»: «Ask on the desk», «Auto-approve edits» or «Skip all (dangerous, owner only)». Tasks keep their chosen mode and show it on the desk; remote clients inherit office policy, while explicitly choosing to skip all stays local-owner-only. Right-click «Send feedback about this area…» to choose «Problem» or «Idea»; problems can omit a note, ideas need a description, and both keep screenshots and context. Completed Claude answers survive restart in «Latest answer» and «Conversation». Eligible ended desks directly offer «Release idle desk», and «Reopen» keeps its explanation visible when all desks are busy. Nothing from beta 50 was removed.

— beta 50: Claude tasks start again

macOS beta 50 (notarised DMG on the release page). Claude Code tasks start again. A desk whose saved conversation belongs to a different Claude Code account no longer makes Reception report «Claude Code setup failed: saved conversation could not be checked», which had disabled «Start at a desk» and «Add to the line» for Claude Code. That conversation now stays on its own desk and is never continued under another account, while new Claude Code tasks start and answer normally. «Copy Terminal command» now says «Terminal command copied. Paste it into Terminal.» only once the command is really on the clipboard, shows «Could not copy the Terminal command. Try again.» with «Retry» when copying fails, and on a phone or remote window the button is disabled with the note «Available on the office Mac only.» Nothing from beta 49 was removed.

— beta 49: desks that can be released, phone settings, waiting tasks first and readable changes

macOS beta 49 (notarised DMG on the release page). A «Problem» desk that is safe to release now offers «Release idle desk» directly, with the usual confirmation. A broken desk that is provably no longer running can be parked by itself to free the desk: its history and recovery details stay, also after a relaunch, and nothing is marked done. On the phone, «Settings» opens from the Office menu, and its appearance still applies to «This device». When a desk frees up, the first eligible task waiting in the line gets it before a newly followed outside session; reservations and explicit release handoffs keep their priority. Also fixed: «Mark reviewed» and «Reopen» no longer show another task’s decision-save error, and «Changes» shows several diff lines, scrolls longer previews and keeps «Refresh», «Close» and Escape working. Nothing from beta 48 was removed.

— beta 48: decks back on the wall, remote downloads that arrive, right-click reports and the whole Codex conversation

macOS beta 48 (notarised DMG on the release page). «Project» puts a Ready deck on the office wall again (‹ ›, arrow keys, «View up close» and «Take off the screen» work on the Mac and in a paired browser), and «Download HTML/PDF/PPTX» in a paired browser now delivers the file to that device, saying «Download started.» only once it did. A remote office that is not reachable after a relaunch says «Office unavailable. Retrying…» with «Disconnect» instead of showing a blank window, parked conversations stay listed after a relaunch, and a failed Claude Code setup check names its cause. Right-click anything that looks wrong and choose «Report this area…» (or right-click, hold and drag to mark an area) to save a screenshot with an optional note. A Codex desk’s Conversation tab now lists what you wrote and what the agent answered, turn by turn. Also fixed: the app menu says «About OffiAI» and «Quit OffiAI», and the phone’s task titles follow your language. Nothing from beta 47 was removed.

— beta 47: usage-limit recovery on the desk, a latest answer you can trust, and clearer Settings in the new interface

macOS beta 47 (notarised DMG on the release page). When Claude Code stops a desk at a usage limit, the desk keeps your work and offers to wait for the shown reset, retry now or deliberately switch to another configured account or eligible model; the usage pill shows both the 5-hour and the 7-day window with their reset times. A desk’s «Latest answer» now shows the agent’s final reply after every finished turn, also when the agent edited files earlier in that turn and through the remote office; «Answer unavailable for this turn» appears only when a turn really ended without one. In the new interface the option you chose in Settings (language, appearance, status and the others) is clearly marked, and closing the Changes reader with Close or Escape no longer leaves the desk and the top bar unresponsive. Nothing from beta 46 was removed.

— beta 46: choose the model for each task, a remote office that survives a relaunch, and approvals that say what they cover

macOS beta 46 (notarised DMG on the release page). New task, the phone and Talk now have a Model field for Claude Code: new tasks start on Opus 5.5, a model your account cannot use is shown as unavailable with the reason, and a refusal stays on its desk with your draft. A remote office you opened on this Mac comes back by itself after you quit and reopen the app, without a new pairing code, and it also opens through an SSH tunnel at localhost; Disconnect forgets it. Every Claude approval request shows its folder, what one Allow covers and how long it has waited, on the Mac and on the phone. Also new: optional morning ideas from the robot (off by default), cited Library questions on Claude Code 2.1.312 and newer, presentation orders that show Preparing and Needs permission instead of «Outcome uncertain», and remote or phone tasks that start in the folder you chose, with a phone header that fits small screens. Nothing from beta 45 was removed.

— beta 45: idle conversations make room for new tasks, a daily robot outfit, and phone view fixes

macOS beta 45 (notarised DMG on the release page). When every desk is held by a finished, idle conversation, starting a new task or ordering a presentation now moves an older idle one to the waiting list and gives the new work its desk; “Reopen” brings the same conversation back with its history and sends nothing. Running work, approvals, unsent drafts and unread results are never moved. The robot can pick its outfit for the day by itself from the existing kit (with your thinking model if you set one, otherwise a fixed daily rotation that uses no model allowance), and an outfit you pick yourself wins for the day. In the opt-in remote office (off by default), the phone view keeps desk labels inside the office scene and shows the office again when opened over a local network address; on the Mac, Settings › Remote access gets a first “Visitors” section for preparing look-only invitations, while the page your visitors will use comes in a later beta. Nothing from beta 44 was removed.

— beta 44: beta 43 fixes, a phone app, remote Library and Presentations, and more of the new look

macOS beta 44 (notarised DMG on the release page). Presentations show “Preparing” with a Stop button from the moment you order one and say “Outcome uncertain” only when the app really lost track of the job; the whiteboard’s “Right now” panel is styled and readable in your language, and Remote access now lives in Settings › Remote & team with a live status line. New and off by default, as part of the opt-in remote office: open your office from your phone’s browser over your own network or VPN and add it to the Home Screen (pair it with an address-only QR code and a one-time code), and use Library and Presentations from another computer or your phone too — ask the Library, order and download decks, or show one on the office wall; the Mac still checks every action. The new-look preview (Settings › “Use the new interface”) now covers Library, Reports, Right now, Presentations, Schedules, Network, Ideas, visits and the lift, the robot panel and the pairing view, light and dark. Nothing from beta 43 was removed.

— beta 43: beta 42 fixes, attachment limits, an opt-in remote office and a preview of the new look

macOS beta 43 (notarised DMG on the release page). Presentations now finish or tell you at which step they stopped, terminal approvals work with the current Claude Code (2.1.309 and newer), "Copy report" and "Copy code" really copy, the task line and the Presentations panel are readable again, "Right now" is clickable, and replies with a table and a small chart show them formatted. Attaching a file over 25 MB or a sixth file now says why, "Copy Terminal command" puts the command on the clipboard, and the task drawer scrolls as a whole. New and off by default: Settings → Remote access lets you open your office from another computer over your own network or VPN (pair a device with a link and a code), and "Use the new interface" previews the new look — light and dark themes, a calmer top bar, side panels for tasks and New task, and one Settings sheet. Nothing from beta 42 was removed.

— beta 42: a task line, reports, presentations and terminal approvals

macOS beta 42 (notarised DMG on the release page). You can now line up work: write a brief in New task and press "Add to the line", and it starts by itself as soon as a desk is free (Claude Code for now, up to 20 tasks, reorder or remove them before they start). Click the whiteboard to read the reports your agents publish: search them, read a preview or the full text, copy or export them as Markdown and save the original files. Click the projection screen to order a presentation from Claude Code, put its slides on the office screen and download it as HTML, PPTX or PDF. In Settings, "Approve terminal sessions in OffiAI" (off by default) brings the Bash permission requests of Claude Code sessions you started in a terminal onto their desk, with Allow and Deny. Agent replies are now formatted by default (headings, lists, tables, code and small charts), a Voice button types your words with macOS Dictation, and the bookshelf opens a Library panel where you can prepare a question and pick sources; asking stays switched off in this build until its checks pass. Nothing from beta 41 was removed.

— beta 41: attach files, and the beta 40 fixes

macOS beta 41 (notarised DMG on the release page). You can now attach files to a new task or to a message at a desk (up to five, 25 MB each); they are copied into the task's working folder so Claude Code, Codex and Gemini can read them, and Changes gains Save a copy, Reveal in Finder and Choose file, plus an Outbox for files the agent hands back. This build also fixes what the beta 40 check found: Open in Terminal works again, a Codex approval now shows "Approve in Terminal", Gemini starts without touching your settings, short numbers are no longer hidden as secrets, and Stop works on the first press. Nothing from beta 40 was removed.

— beta 40: brief Codex and Gemini from Reception

macOS beta 40 (notarised DMG on the release page). Reception now starts Codex and Gemini (the Antigravity CLI) as well as Claude Code, when they are installed: the agent runs in its own terminal session in the folder you chose, its answers appear in the desk's Talk drawer, the job ends as Delivered, and you reply from the same drawer. Approvals stay in the agent's terminal ("Approve in Terminal", "Open in Terminal"); Stop interrupts and ends the session. Messages to Codex and Gemini are one line for now, and a message starting with "/" or "!" is refused because the agent would run it as a command. Nothing from beta 39 was removed.

— beta 39: your pending reviews keep their desks

macOS beta 39 (notarised DMG on the release page). A job that is waiting for your review now keeps its desk: new tasks and reopened sessions no longer take over a desk that shows another session's delivered or reviewed job, and when every desk is busy the app says so instead of replacing one. Switching off "Work on its own branch" now says that the shared folder will be used, kept working folders whose folder is gone show that and offer Forget, desks of other sessions come back faster after a restart, and a batch of smaller layout and wording fixes from the beta 38 check is in. Nothing from beta 38 was removed.

— beta 38: each task on its own branch, and the beta 37 fixes

macOS beta 38 (notarised DMG on the release page). When the folder you pick at Reception is a Git repository, a Claude Code task now starts on its own branch in its own working folder by default, so agents working in parallel never collide; you can switch that off before Start, the desk shows the branch, and when you are done you keep the folder or remove it (removal only when nothing would be lost). This build also fixes what the beta 37 check found: a crash when the language menu was open, desks marked done that were never freed after the grace time, a harmless diff line hidden next to a secret, keyboard focus lost after a review decision, and the desk chip disagreeing with the drawer after a restart. Nothing from beta 37 was removed.

— beta 37: jobs deliver, you mark them done

macOS beta 37 (notarised DMG on the release page). A finished job now ends as delivered: you review it and mark it reviewed or done yourself, in the Talk drawer (keyboard-reachable) or in the Archive; the app never does that for you, and a done desk is released after a grace period you choose (1–60 minutes, default 10) unless you are still typing there. The Changes view from beta 36 now really fills: edits Claude Code makes with absolute paths inside the folder are recorded, the panel is styled, only the secret-bearing line of a diff is masked, paths inside the folder are shown, editors appear with their names. Renaming a session updates the desk hover label too, the Sound switch toggles on click, and older sessions get English default titles. Nothing from beta 36 was removed.

— beta 36: see what each agent changed, and smaller fixes

macOS beta 36 (notarised DMG on the release page). Fourth item of the public roadmap: a Changes view per desk — the files the agent touched in this session, each diff rendered safely with secrets masked, and "Open in your editor" with the editor you choose in Settings; nothing runs unless you click. Plus the beta 35 leftovers: a renamed session shows its name on the desk, Cowork conversations appear in the archive, archived sessions keep their real times and numbers, the Sound and Motion switches react to a click on the knob, and the "Started at desk" note goes away on its own. Nothing from beta 35 was removed.

— beta 35: a searchable archive of every session, and desks you can free

macOS beta 35 (notarised DMG on the release page). Third item of the public roadmap: an Archive in the top bar lists every session OffiAI has seen from any agent — search it, rename a session for your own eyes (the agent's files are never touched), copy a summary, and reopen a Claude Code or Cowork conversation at a desk. And the leftovers from the beta 34 check: an idle desk can be released from its drawer again, a desk whose working folder is gone is released when the office is full, the approval dialog shows the command as written with only secrets masked, default titles follow your language, the status updates right after you allow a request, and the Sound row is one clear switch. Nothing from beta 34 was removed.

— beta 34: a usage meter, and alerts that really arrive

macOS beta 34 (notarised DMG on the release page). Two things from the roadmap and the real-app check of beta 33. A usage meter in the top bar: tokens per desk and per day, your quota per provider (Claude Code and Codex report it; Gemini and Cowork do not), and a countdown to your next reset; off with one switch in Settings. And the alerts now arrive: macOS notifications are posted by the app itself (the first switch-on asks macOS once), a desk that needs you shows a "Needs you" chip and its drawer says why, and a permission request can be reviewed and approved from that drawer. Masked values follow the interface language. Nothing from beta 33 was removed.

— beta 33: every agent can call you

macOS beta 33 (notarised DMG on the release page). The first item of the public roadmap: alerts for every agent. Whether it is Claude Code, Cowork, Codex or Gemini, OffiAI tells you when a turn is finished, when the agent needs you, or when it is stuck. You choose how: the in-app chip (on as before), a macOS notification with only the masked title, a short tone, or a character voice. A built-in Robot voice pack ships; your own packs drop into a folder. Never more than one audible alert per desk every 20 seconds, and never for the desk you are looking at. Nothing from beta 32 was removed.

— beta 32: one bar, a calmer drawer, a public roadmap

macOS beta 32 (notarised DMG on the release page). Round two of the visual pass, from screenshots of the real app: the macOS title bar and the top bar are now one bar, the Talk drawer shows a clear waiting state while a turn runs, desk chips step back behind dialogs, Settings scrolls and opens on its first tab, and the top-bar buttons stay put. The public roadmap is live and moves with every beta. Nothing from beta 31 was removed.

— beta 31: the chrome catches up with the office

macOS beta 31 (notarised DMG on the release page). A visual pass on everything around the 3D office: dark glass panels with one type scale and two button styles, a top bar for Reception, Release, Settings and language, a restyled Talk drawer and Reception dialog, grouped Settings, and notices that dismiss themselves. The office itself, the copy and the behaviour are unchanged. Nothing from beta 30 was removed.

— beta 30: the publish queue keeps nothing in clear

macOS beta 30 (notarised DMG on the release page). A privacy follow-up found while checking our own app-data statement: a report that waits because OffiAI is not running is now stored masked, the session token only as a digest, nothing is kept after acceptance, refused requests for at most 64 entries and 30 days, and interrupted writes are cleaned up. Attachments are stored byte-for-byte, which the app-data page now says. Nothing from beta 29 was removed.

— beta 29: the latest answer is the latest answer

macOS beta 29 (notarised DMG on the release page). A small follow-up to beta 28: a Claude Code desk now shows its final reply as the latest answer instead of "Answer unavailable for this turn", the owner guard reads session ids only where a key can be, and the drawer tests cover one more edge. Nothing from beta 28 was removed.

— beta 28: Reception tells the truth, the drawer keeps its conversation, waiting is visible

macOS beta 28 (notarised DMG on the release page). Two findings from the beta 27 hand checks, fixed: a damaged Claude Code registry file of another session no longer blocks every start, and when ownership really cannot be verified Reception says so and "Retry setup" stops answering "ready". When every desk is taken, the Talk drawer stays on the conversation you opened instead of silently showing another, the office tells you how many conversations are waiting for a desk, and a live Cowork conversation keeps its desk longer than a finished result card. Nothing from beta 27 was removed.

— beta 27: the office keeps one owner, publishing survives overload, Reception never doubles a brief

macOS beta 27 (notarised DMG on the release page). Underneath, the office now has one owner for every desk and conversation: the lifecycle service decides allocation, pairing with the Claude app sits behind a platform port, and each agent provider declares what it can do instead of the app guessing by name. Publishing to the board survives overload and restarts — queued work waits visibly instead of failing — and Reception never starts the same brief twice, even across restarts. The bundled terminal host groundwork continues (not yet used by any desk). Nothing from beta 26 was removed.

— beta 26: redaction rebuilt, a fairer resume fence, cleaner tests

macOS beta 26 (notarised DMG on the release page). The secret-redaction pass was rebuilt: it decodes encoded text before matching, never lets a secret split across a line break show its tail, and handles large replies in milliseconds — long answers are trimmed, not erased. OffiAI now refuses to resume a conversation only when another OffiAI instance verifiably holds the connection to the Claude app; a failed or slow start never blocks Claude Code. Codex sessions keep their turn numbers across restarts, agent switches apply at the next launch, and the test suite cleans up after itself. Groundwork for the terminal host continues underneath (not yet used by any desk). Nothing from beta 25 was removed.

— beta 25: result ready, reports on the board, a sturdier pairing

macOS beta 25 (notarised DMG on the release page). A desk now shows “result ready” when a turn finishes, with the latest answer at the top of the drawer, and an optional notification (off by default); Codex sessions are picked up without restarting OffiAI; OffiAI never resumes a conversation another terminal still holds. Agents can publish reports and plans to the office board through a small tool OffiAI offers them (off by default: turn it on under Settings → Experimental). The connection to the Claude app is held by a system lock, so a crash can never block the next start. Optional rich replies in the desk chat, off by default. Nothing from beta 24 was removed.

— beta 24: the first ten minutes

macOS beta 24 (notarised DMG on the release page). An empty office now shows a welcome that says which tools OffiAI sees and what to do next. A Claude Code session waiting at its prompt gets a desk, labelled Idle. Reception is labelled, confirms the desk your brief started at, and shows which agents can be briefed today. Desks show what each session is working on, with secrets masked. Nothing from beta 23 was removed: every shipped feature now has a test that guards it.

— beta 23: secrets stay masked, a slimmer Cowork plugin

macOS beta 23 (notarised DMG on the release page). Passwords, keys and private paths stay masked even when an agent's reply arrives in several pieces. The Claude-app plugin is now version 0.4.0: it only carries messages, and all rules live in OffiAI. Plugin 0.4.0 needs beta 23 or newer; older plugins keep working.

— beta 22: less of your data in agent text

macOS beta 22 (notarised DMG on the release page). Stored data and credentials that appear in what an agent writes are masked more thoroughly before OffiAI shows or keeps them (storage and keys); a stronger pass for file paths follows. Includes the beta 21 follow-up fixes across Android, audio, release tools and the office view.

— beta 21: fixes from two full code reviews

macOS beta 21 (notarised DMG on the release page). The Claude-app connection stays up while a new build is checked on the same Mac, a brief keeps text typed in the meantime, and sound effects no longer accumulate in long sessions. Internal preview client only: replacing an export never destroys the old file on failure, and Android sign-out and sign-in recover properly.

— beta 20: steadier Send now, fully translated

macOS beta 20 (notarised DMG on the release page). Send now stops if you type or click while it is typing and handles a conversation that is already open in Claude. Reception, Approvals, the desk panel and the setup screen are now fully translated into Spanish and German.

— beta 19: Send now

macOS beta 19 (notarised DMG on the release page). New and off by default: Send now on a Cowork desk types your text into that conversation in the Claude app, using macOS Accessibility, once you turn it on in the settings. Changing the app’s language now updates every panel at once, clicks in the presentation close-up no longer reach the office behind it, and the first groundwork for Windows and Linux versions is in (no change on macOS). Plugin 0.3.2 is unchanged.

— beta 16: a reliability release

macOS beta 16 (notarised DMG on the release page). Fixes from a full review of the app: Reception keeps working when idle Claude-app desks fill the office, desks are no longer cleared when Claude Code is not ready, a second copy of the app just brings the first one forward, Claude Code sessions return to idle after /compact, and secrets in desk notes are masked more thoroughly. Internal preview client only: being offline no longer signs you out.

— beta 15: Open in Claude

macOS beta 15 (notarised DMG on the release page) with plugin 0.3.2. A Cowork desk’s side panel now has an Open in Claude button that opens exactly that conversation in the Claude app, so you can continue it there.

— beta 14: tidy Cowork desks

macOS beta 14 (notarised DMG on the release page) with plugin 0.3.1. A Cowork desk leaves the office a few seconds after the Claude app quits, desk labels show the conversation’s title and time, the side panel’s buttons are readable, and the plugin sends at most one answer copy per reported turn.

— beta 13: ask Claude from a Cowork desk

macOS beta 13 (notarised DMG on the release page) with plugin 0.3.0. A Cowork desk’s side panel now has a New Cowork task box: OffiAI opens the Claude app with your text filled in, you press send there, and Claude’s answer appears in the desk panel as well as in Claude. How it works.

— beta 12: notes for every agent, in your language

macOS beta 12 (notarised DMG on the release page). Codex, Antigravity and Claude-app desks show their notes in the side panel even when the Claude Code connector is switched off. The Cowork waiting hint is shown in the app’s language and disappears as soon as the first conversation takes over the desk. Plugin 0.2.3 adds the listing details for the Claude plugin directory; its behaviour is unchanged.

— beta 11: the notes are really visible

macOS beta 11 (notarised DMG on the release page). A style rule squeezed the desk panel’s note list to zero height, so only “Thinking” showed; the notes now appear. Before any Claude-app conversation has reported, its placeholder desk says it is waiting and how to get a desk.

— beta 10: the desk panel shows the agent’s notes

macOS beta 10 (notarised DMG on the release page). The side panel of a Claude-app, Codex or Antigravity desk now shows the short notes the agent sends instead of just “Thinking”. The office robot no longer shows “Can’t get there.” for its own walks and tries once more when it could not reach a desk. Plugin v0.2.2 adds an icon, the MIT licence and a plain description of what it runs and sends; it is also in the marketplace offiai/claude-plugins.

— beta 9: one desk per Cowork conversation, answers stay visible

macOS beta 9 (notarised DMG on the release page) and plugin v0.2.1 for the Claude desktop app. Several Claude-app conversations now show at their own desks at the same time; before, the one the office robot was busy with could disappear. With plugin v0.2.1 Claude reports once at the start of a turn and then writes its full answer, so nothing is folded away under the plugin line, and each desk is named after what you asked plus the start time. A Cowork desk goes idle a minute after the last report. Reinstall the plugin to get v0.2.1 (steps).

— beta 7: Codex CLI desks, desks that stay

macOS beta 7 (notarised DMG on the release page). New: Codex CLI sessions get desks through Codex's own hooks (the desk appears with your first prompt). Cowork desks now stay while the conversation is open, also through long quiet stretches, and leave when you quit the Claude app. The side panel says which agent a desk belongs to (Cowork conversation, Codex CLI session). Fixed: the plugin v0.2 from the beta 4 and beta 5 pages was refused by those apps; beta 6 and later accept it.

21 October 2026 — beta 4: app + plugin v0.2

macOS beta 4 (notarised DMG on the release page) and plugin v0.2 for the Claude desktop app: each Cowork conversation gets its own desk, provider looks are stronger and desks carry a provider label, approval notices stay visible, memory budgets for observed sessions. Reinstall the plugin to get v0.2.

21 October 2026 — plugin for Claude Cowork (preview)

The OffiAI plugin for the Claude desktop app is available as a preview: offiai.plugin (install steps on the Cowork page). Desk holograms now show which agent sits at a desk (Claude, Codex, Gemini), with a badge and a team line at reception. macOS beta 3 follows on the same release page.
